Kevin joined the staff of St. Johns Presbyterian Church as Associate for Worship and the Arts in May of 2007.  He has been in ministry since 1988 and has served in a full-time Associate Pastor or Associate for Worship and Arts since 1996. Kevin holds a B.A. in music composition from the University of Kansas. Kevin has a unique gift of music.  God has given him ability, and cultivated by education, he is completely comfortable conducting a full orchestra, choir, improvising songs of worship on the piano or leading a group of people into God’s presence from a keyboard or guitar with a worship band behind him.

Brittany Harris has lived in Jacksonville, Florida since she was three years old.  She attended Bishop Kenny High School Catholic High School and Bartram Trail and graduated from Florida State College of Jacksonville.  Brittany loves Jesus and has a passion for helping those in need and has gone to Honduras to do so.  She and her husband, Ben, enjoy traveling, cooking, golfing and fishing together.  They were recently blessed with their first child, a daughter named Carson.

Jesse Bozeman is a lifelong resident of Jacksonville.  He and his older brother only lived in two houses growing up, and those were within 10 miles of each other.  Jesse is married and he and his wife have three children still at home, all girls ranging from 7 to 9 years old.  Jesse has been working in the construction industry since his early 20’s.  He enjoys building and repairing things and gets great satisfaction from seeing the finished project.  Jesse has an artistic streak and enjoys drawing and painting in his free time.  He is also a sportsman and has a fishing pole or hunting rifle in his hands whenever possible.

Chris is the Director of Youth and Families at St. Johns. He is from Longmont, Colorado and has lived in Jacksonville since September 2016. He attended Torchbearers Bible School in New Zealand and Texas for two years, and graduated from Columbia International University with a BS in Bible teaching in 2016. Chris directs the middle and high school ministries, and has spent time working with youth in church, school, and camp settings. He has a passion to lead youth to know and love Christ and become disciple-making disciples. Chris loves the outdoors, watching and playing sports, and music.

Mollie Lackey, Director of Children’s Ministry  mollie@sjpcjax.org

Mollie was born and raised in Jacksonville. She has attended SJPC since she was a youth where she accepted Jesus as her savior. She is married to Brock who she met at SJPC in youth. She also has two daughters, Ellie Jean, 8 months old and Abigail, 4 years old along with a 7 year old chocolate lab named Tucker. Mollie attended UNF where she attained a bachelors in Sociology and a bachelors in Psychology and then obtained her teacher’s certificate. She recently completed her masters in Educational Psychology. She has a huge love for children and teaching children about Jesus. So she loves being at St. Johns working with the littles. She has volunteered in children’s ministry at SJPC the past 12 years. She has also taught kindergarten and Pre-k. Mollie loves hanging with her family and all things family, going to the beach and hanging with her girls. She is thankful to be a part of the SJPC staff family because it’s such a special group of people.

Gai Gai Quarterman, Director of Operations, SJPK info@sjpk.org

Gai-Gai Quarterman has been in Jacksonville, Florida, since graduating from college. She became involved with the preschool when her daughter started here in 1984. She has worn many hats at St. Johns Presbyterian Kindergarten. Gai-Gai was a Kindergarten teacher for 9 years, the bookkeeper, and most recently a 4-year old teacher. She lives in the area with her husband, Terry. Gai-Gai enjoys playing tennis and spending time with her daughter, son-in-law and their four children. All of her grandchildren are either past or current students at SJPK.

 

Tom Gunn, Organist, tom@sjpcjax.org

Retired from Jacksonville University where he was its library director for over thirty years, Tom Gunn has served as organist for the traditional service since 1994.  Prior to St. Johns, he served as organist and/or choir director in United Methodist and Episcopal congregations in North Carolina (his home state), Virginia, and Florida and for six years taught English at the secondary level in Virginia and Florida and graduate Education in North Carolina at Appalachian State University, where he was its music librarian.  Tom holds an undergraduate degree in applied music from High Point University, High Point, NC, and did graduate work in music history, choral work, and music bibliography and holds graduate degrees in Education and Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College, Nashville, TN, with advanced studies in Higher Education and Library Science at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.  Widowed, he is the father of two married daughters, Karen who lives in Jacksonville and Laura who lives in DeLand, FL.  He has a keen interest in history and  genealogy and paints “contemporary primitives” for recreation.
