Ways That You
The music at our 9am service is lead by our chancel choir, pianist and organist. That team creates an atmosphere where Jesus is lifted high in our worship. The choir leads by singing and leading the hymns as well as an anthem almost every Sunday. There is no audition to join the chancel choir. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 – 7:00pm.
Vocalists and instrumentalists are always welcome to join the 2nd service worship team. This group leads us to connect with Christ through music that is contemporary in style. An audition with Kevin Crainshaw is required to join this group. Musicians must be able to read a chord chart and play within the given style of the song. Vocalists must be able to sing harmony parts by ear if either a tenor or alto. This group rehearses on Wednesday nights from 7:10 – 8:20pm.
Ushers are the first face many people see when they visit St. Johns and truly have a gift of hospitality. Ushers help us to fulfill our vision. They connect with the people of the church; they answer questions and help give out important information regarding our services, classes and church campus. We are always looking for people with the gift of hospitality to join our ushering team. If interested, please speak to Cliff Thomas.
There are many opportunities to get involved in our youth ministry! At St. Johns, it is our desire for the youth to grow in their knowledge and love for Jesus Christ. Whether you have worked with youth in the past or not, we would love for you to help out. If you love God and love youth, please consider volunteering!
